The Motorola Razr Fold (2026) at a Glance

The Motorola Razr Fold (2026) runs Android with Motorola's clean, near-stock software, and does everything most people need. Here's the plain-English guide — and there's a printable, 29-page version up top if you'd like the full deep-dive.

Common Questions

1 What makes the Motorola Razr Fold (2026) special?

Here's what's worth knowing, in plain English:

  1. It opens into a small tablet This is the headline. Closed, it's a normal 6.6-inch phone. Open the book fold and you have a big 8.1-inch screen — marvelous for reading, maps, video and anything where a bigger, clearer picture helps. It's Motorola's first phone of this kind.
  2. The best software support Motorola offers Motorola promises a full 7 years of updates on this one — the longest in its whole lineup, and a match for Apple, Samsung and Google. On a pricey phone you'll keep a while, that matters.
  3. Unlocks by fingerprint OR by looking at it Alone among these Motorolas, the Razr Fold is confirmed to offer both a fingerprint reader and face unlock — so you can pick whichever is easier for you.
  4. A big battery and very fast charging A large 6,000 mAh battery keeps that big screen going, and it charges very quickly (up to 80 watts with a cable, 50 watts wirelessly).

2 Is the Motorola Razr Fold (2026) right for me?

It's a great fit for someone who would love a big, tablet-sized screen for reading, maps and video but wants it to fold down to a normal phone in the pocket — and who values the long 7-year software support.

Consider a different model if: If you want to keep things small, simple and affordable, this is a lot of phone and a lot of money. It's also the heaviest here (243g). A regular Moto or a plain Razr may suit you better.

3 How much does it cost, and where should I buy it?

That's the launch price, on sale since May 21, 2026. There's an optional Moto Pen Ultra stylus for about $99 extra. It's the priciest Motorola here. Trade-ins can lower it; check current pricing before buying.

The Razr Fold is Motorola's showcase phone — a genuine small tablet in your pocket, with the best support Motorola offers. It's also expensive and large. If a big screen truly helps your eyes and you'll use it, it's a wonderful thing; if you mostly call and text, it's more phone than you need. Buy from Motorola, a carrier or a trusted store. I'm glad to help you weigh it up.

4 How do I move everything from my old phone?

From another Android phone, the setup screen offers to copy your apps and data — easiest with a cable between the two phones, or from your Google backup over Wi-Fi. Your contacts, photos, apps and settings come across. Coming from an iPhone takes a bit more care, and that's one of my most common calls.

Switching phones, or want someone there for the setup? My $99 first visit covers it — transfer, Google Account, email, contacts, the works. (330) 200-8042.

5 How do I make it easier to see and hear?

Open Settings > Display and raise the Font size and Display size sliders; for even more, use Settings > Accessibility > Display size and text and turn on Bold text. Switch on Live Caption to put words on almost any video, and know the phone works with many Bluetooth hearing aids. Your camera, with Google Lens, also doubles as a magnifying glass for small print.

6 How do I stay safe from scams?

Your phone is safe; the tricks come by text, email and call. Motorola, Google, your bank and Amazon will never call, text or email to say your account is locked or you owe money — that's always a scam. Never read back a code someone sent you, and never let anyone rush you into gift cards or quick payments. When in doubt, hang up and call someone you trust — including me.

Want Me to Set It Up?

Setting up a new phone is one of my most-requested house calls. I bring the patience and the cables — you keep your seat. We'll move everything over, get email and contacts working, walk through the features, and set up the accessibility and safety options that help. $99 flat, and every visit is 30-day come-back-free. Would you rather I just do this for you?

No shame in it — plenty of folks would rather hand it off, and that's what I'm here for. I'll come to your home, set it up right, and make sure it's working before I leave. Flat $99 per visit — no jargon, no upsell, and every visit is 30-day come-back-free.

Not a hardware job? I can often fix it remotely for $49 — a secure screen-share, up to 2 hours, that you watch the whole time and can end whenever (included free for $39/mo Support Plan members, and it counts toward the $99 if it turns out I need to come out).
