Computer Help — Slow PCs, Printers & Setup Made Simple
A computer that takes five minutes to wake up, a printer that won't print, a new laptop that needs setting up the right way. I sit down with you, fix what's wrong, and explain it in plain English — no jargon, no talking down to you.
$99 flat in your home · $49 flat remote screen-share · no contracts, no hourly billing
Why your computer got slow (and it's usually fixable)
A computer rarely "wears out" the way people fear. It gets slow because it's loaded with programs that all start at once, it's low on space, updates are half-finished, or it's quietly running something it shouldn't. Most of the machines people are ready to throw out just need an hour of cleanup and a few settings changed. I'll tell you honestly whether yours is worth tuning up or genuinely due for replacement — and if it's the latter, I'll help you pick something without overspending.
What the flat fee covers
One price for the whole visit — diagnosis, the fix, and a plain-English walkthrough. Here's what's included:
- Slow-computer tune-up — startup programs, storage cleanup, finishing stuck updates.
- Printer setup & won't-print fixes — wireless printers, drivers, and the dreaded offline printer.
- New computer setup — accounts, email, Wi-Fi, favorites, and moving your files over.
- Email & password help — getting signed back in without losing anything.
- Plain-English training — I show you how, at your pace, as many times as it takes.
- 30-day phone follow-up — questions after I leave are free for a month.
What's not included (I'll tell you straight)
- —Parts (a new hard drive, more memory, a replacement printer) — quoted at retail first, no markup.
- —Board-level repair of a physically broken laptop — I'll tell you when replacement is the smarter spend.
- —Business server or network administration — for a shop or office, see my small-business visit instead.
The computer problems I fix most
Windows or Mac, laptop or desktop — these are the calls I get every week.
🐌 Painfully slow to start up
Too many programs launching at boot, a nearly-full drive, or stalled updates. An hour of cleanup usually transforms it.
🖨️ Printer says offline / won't print
The most common call I get. Usually a Wi-Fi hiccup or a driver, not a broken printer. I get it printing and label it.
🆕 New computer, don't know where to start
I set up accounts, email, Wi-Fi, and move your photos and files over from the old machine so nothing gets left behind.
🔒 Locked out of email or an account
Forgotten password, new phone for two-factor, or a hijacked inbox. I get you back in and write down what's where.
🪟 Windows 10 is ending — what now?
I'll walk you through your real options so you don't panic-buy or get pushed into something you don't need.
🧹 Pop-ups, toolbars, and junk
Clearing out the junkware and the fake 'your computer is infected' nonsense, and showing you how to avoid it next time.
Common questions
How much does computer help cost?
$99 flat for an in-home visit — slow-computer tune-up, printer setup, new-computer setup, email help, training, the lot, for up to three hours. Many software, email, and settings problems I can fix by screen-share for a flat $49. If a part is needed I quote it at retail first.
Can you fix my computer without coming to the house?
Often, yes. For software, email, settings, printer drivers, and 'how do I…?' questions I connect to your screen with your permission — you watch the whole time — for a flat $49. Anything physical (a dead drive, a printer that needs hands on it) needs an in-home visit.
Is my slow computer worth fixing, or should I replace it?
I'll tell you honestly. A lot of machines people are ready to replace just need cleanup and a settings change. If yours is genuinely too old, I'll say so and help you choose a replacement without overspending — I don't earn anything by selling you hardware.
Do you work on both Windows and Mac?
Yes — Windows PCs, Macs, laptops, and desktops, plus printers and the devices around them. 30+ years of doing this; there isn't much I haven't seen.
Can you help me move everything to a new computer?
That's one of my most common visits. I move your photos, documents, email, and favorites over, set up your accounts and Wi-Fi, and make sure the old machine is wiped if you're passing it on.

Computer driving you crazy? I can help.
Call or text and tell me what's going on. If I can fix it remotely for $49, I'll say so; if it needs a house call, it's a flat $99.
