Insurance & coverage
What's in place before I walk in your door.
When you let someone into your home to touch your computer, your Wi-Fi, your smart-home setup, you're trusting them with more than the device. You're trusting their judgment, their honesty, and yes — that they're covered if something goes sideways. Here's what I carry.
General liability
$1,000,000 each occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate, through Next Insurance US Company (policy NXTWQFHRK4-00-GL). Covers accidental damage to your property during a visit (the rare "I bumped the lamp on the way out" moment) and covers third-party injury claims.
Policy term: Oct 1, 2025 – Oct 1, 2026.
Errors & omissions (professional liability)
$1,000,000 per claim / $2,000,000 aggregate, also through Next Insurance (policy NXTVLCFD4V-00-PL). For the rare case where a recommendation I make causes a problem (e.g., a software change that turns out to be incompatible). I think hard before I touch anything, but the coverage is there if I'm wrong.
Policy term: Oct 1, 2025 – Oct 1, 2026.
Damage to rented premises
Included in the general liability policy: $100,000 limit for damage to your premises during a visit (e.g., a leak triggered by something I touched).
