TV & Streaming Setup — No More Buffering or Guessing Which Remote
A new TV that's still showing the setup screen, apps that won't sign in, a picture that freezes every few minutes, and three remotes when you want one. I set it all up, sign you into the apps you actually watch, and leave you with something you can turn on and enjoy.

Why streaming feels harder than it should
Smart TVs and streaming boxes assume you already know their menus, their account systems, and which of a dozen apps has the show you want. Add a Wi-Fi signal that's weak at the TV and you get the freezing and buffering that makes people give up. I handle the whole chain — the Wi-Fi reaching the TV, the apps and sign-ins, the inputs, and the remotes — so watching TV goes back to being simple.
What the flat fee covers
One price for the whole visit — diagnosis, the fix, and a plain-English walkthrough. Here's what's included:
- New TV setup — out of the box, on the wall or stand, picture tuned, inputs labeled.
- Streaming apps & sign-ins — Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney+, YouTube, your local channels.
- Buffering & freezing fixes — getting a strong signal to the TV so it stops stalling.
- One simpler remote — consolidating or setting up a remote you can actually use.
- Cord-cutting help — if you want to drop cable, I'll show you what replaces it and what it really costs.
- 30-day phone follow-up — included, no charge.
What's not included (I'll tell you straight)
- —The TV, streaming device, or mount itself — I quote hardware at retail first, no markup.
- —Running HDMI or power inside finished walls — that's an electrician's job; I'll recommend one.
- —Your streaming subscription fees — those are between you and the services, but I'll help you avoid paying for ones you don't watch.
The TV problems I fix most
From a brand-new smart TV to an old setup that got confusing.
⏳ Buffering and freezing
Almost always a weak Wi-Fi signal at the TV. I fix the signal first, then the apps, so it stops stalling mid-show.
📲 Apps won't sign in
Forgotten passwords, the wrong account, or an app that needs updating. I get you signed into the ones you actually watch.
🎛️ Too many remotes
TV remote, cable remote, soundbar remote, streaming remote. I consolidate to as few as possible and label what's left.
🆕 New TV still on the setup screen
I take it from the box to your favorite show — mounted or on the stand, inputs labeled, picture looking right.
✂️ Thinking about dropping cable
I'll show you honestly what streaming replaces your channels, what it costs, and whether it's actually worth it for you.
🔊 Sound and soundbar trouble
No sound, lip-sync off, or a soundbar that won't pair. I get the audio working with the right settings.
Common questions
How much does TV setup cost?
$99 flat for an in-home visit — new TV setup, streaming apps and sign-ins, fixing buffering, and consolidating remotes, for up to three hours. If it's just an app sign-in or a settings problem, I can often handle it by screen-share for $49. Hardware like a TV or mount is quoted at retail first.
Why does my TV keep buffering?
Nearly always a weak Wi-Fi signal where the TV sits. That's why I check the Wi-Fi first — moving the router or adding a small mesh node usually stops the freezing for good. Then I make sure the apps are up to date.
Can you help me cut the cord?
Yes, and I'll be honest about it. I'll show you which streaming services carry the channels you actually watch, what the real monthly cost comes to, and whether cutting cable will save you money — sometimes it doesn't, and I'll tell you.
I have three remotes and I'm lost. Can you simplify it?
That's one of the most satisfying fixes I do. I consolidate down to as few remotes as possible, set up the inputs so the right one just works, and label everything so anyone in the house can turn it on.
Do you mount TVs?
I set up and configure the TV, handle the streaming and remotes, and can place it on a stand. For drilling into a wall or running cable inside the wall, I'll tell you honestly when a mount installer or electrician is the right call.

Call or text and tell me what's going on. If I can fix it remotely for $49, I'll say so; if it needs a house call, it's a flat $99.
