2. A faster brain (the A20 Pro chip) Everything feels quick — opening apps, switching between them, and the newer helpful features that lean on Apple's built-in intelligence. It also runs cooler and steadier than last year thanks to a redesigned cooling system inside.
3. Better cell signal in more places Apple's new "C2" cellular part reaches a few more kinds of signal, which can mean a stronger connection in spots where an older phone struggled.
4. A bigger battery and a new deep-red color Apple gave it more battery than the model before it, and there's a new burgundy (deep red) color alongside black, silver, and glacier.

2 Is the iPhone 18 Pro right for me?

It's a great fit for someone who wants Apple's very best phone in a size that's still easy to hold, and who takes a lot of photos or just likes having the newest thing that will stay current for years.

Consider a different model if: If you mainly call, text, check photos and browse, you do NOT need the Pro. The regular iPhone 17 does all of that beautifully for less money, and the budget iPhone 17e does it for less still.

That's the launch price for the 256GB model, announced September 2026. There are larger storage sizes (512GB, 1TB, and 2TB) that cost more. Prices change and carriers often knock a lot off with a trade-in, so always check the current price before you buy.

The iPhone 18 Pro is Apple's newest and most capable regular-sized phone. It's a wonderful device — but it's also priced at the top. Be honest with yourself about what you'll use: if you're not a keen photographer and don't need the very latest, the regular iPhone 17 will make you just as happy for a few hundred dollars less. If you DO want the best and plan to keep it a long time, this is a fine choice. Buy from Apple, a carrier (great trade-in deals), or a trusted store like Costco or Best Buy — not a stranger online.

4 How do I move everything from my old phone?
