Common Questions
1 Low battery warning on a sensor
- Note which sensor.
- Call ADT for service — they'll dispatch a tech.
- Don't self-replace under warranty.
2 Customer can't arm — panel beeps
- Sensor open somewhere. Walk all doors and windows.
- "Bypass" option lets you arm anyway (skips the open sensor).
- If can't find the issue, call ADT.
3 False alarm went off — police dispatched
- Call ADT immediately to cancel dispatch.
- Confirm with police.
- Many false alarms = ADT may charge fees.
- Common cause: pet exceeding motion sensor limits.
4 ADT app won't connect
- Confirm password.
- Phone has internet.
- Panel has Wi-Fi/cellular communication (LED status on panel).
5 Customer wants to cancel ADT
- Contract has minimum term (often 36 months) with cancellation fee.
