No. A portable panel and station keep the essentials going — phones, lights, the internet box, small devices. The big loads, and a 240-volt well pump, need a generator or a large installed system.
3 What if it's cloudy the entire time?
Then you lean on the battery you charged full beforehand, run the top of your list, and let the panel refill whatever it can when the sun peeks through. That's exactly why you charge full first.
4 I'm on a well — what should I do?
Store drinking water before the outage, because portable solar cannot run your well pump. Solar is still worth having for phones, lights, and devices — just not for water.
