Anker gear quietly ends up all over a house - the bedside charger, the purse battery, the basement power station for storm season. Here is the whole family in plain English, no jargon and no rushing.

About the Anker Family of Gear

Anker is one company behind several very different things: small GaN chargers and cables, power banks including the magnetic MagGo kind, big SOLIX power stations for outages, Eufy home-security cameras, and Soundcore headphones and earbuds. Knowing which is which makes everything else easier.

The whole game comes down to two ideas. Watts are the speed of charging, like how fast a faucet runs, and watt-hours (or mAh) are the size of the tank. Match a charger to the device - about 20W for a phone, 65W or more for a laptop - and a stronger charger never hurts a small device, since it only gives what is asked.

Chargers and power banks mostly need no app at all. Eufy uses the eufy Security app and Soundcore uses the soundcore app; there is no one big Anker app. I set this kind of gear up in kitchens and basements all over Atwater and Portage County, so if a page makes your eyes cross, that is my cue, not your failing.

When to skip the DIY and just call: Recall check on a power bank · Power station set up for a storm · Eufy camera dropping offline

Common Questions

1 How do I pick the right charger?

  1. Match the charger to what you own: about 20W to 30W for a phone, 30W to 45W for a tablet.
  2. For a laptop aim for 45W to 65W, and 100W or more for a big 16-inch class laptop.
  3. A higher-watt charger will not hurt a small device - it only gives what is asked, so one strong GaN brick can do everything.
  4. Use a USB-C cable rated for the wattage; many cheap cables only carry 60W even on a strong brick.
  5. Retire any cable that is frayed, has a bent tip, or a plug that gets hot to hold.

2 How long will a SOLIX power station run my things?

  1. Watt-hours (Wh) is the size of the tank; a SOLIX C1000 holds about 1,000Wh and the big F3800 about 3,800Wh.
  2. Watts is the flow - if a gadget needs more watts than the station can push, it will not run even on a full tank.
  3. To estimate run time, divide the watt-hours by the device's watts, then trim about 15 percent for loss.
  4. A roughly 1,000Wh station keeps a Wi-Fi router and modem going about two days, or a CPAP without heated humidifier two to three nights.
  5. Do a dry run on a calm afternoon so you know it works before the storm.

3 What is the Anker power-bank recall?

  1. In 2025 Anker recalled more than a million power banks because the battery inside could overheat and catch fire.
  2. The recalls covered several models, including the PowerCore 10000 (model A1263) and later A1257, A1647, A1652, A1681, and A1689.
  3. Find the model and serial number printed on the back or side of the bank, next to SN.
  4. Go to anker.com, open the Product Recalls page, and type in your serial number.
  5. If yours is on the list, stop using it right away; Anker offers a refund or a gift card once you register.

4 How do I stay safe with lithium batteries and fakes?

  1. Never charge a battery that is swollen, cracked, dented, or that got wet - a puffy battery is done today.
  2. Charge on a hard surface with air around it, never on a bed, a couch, or a pile of papers.
  3. If a battery smells odd, hisses, or gets very hot, move it outside away from anything that burns.
  4. Buy only from Anker or a store you know; counterfeit chargers and batteries skip the safety parts.
  5. Reach real support by typing anker.com yourself - Anker never calls out of the blue or asks for gift cards.
